The Psalmist David wrote: “The Lord said unto my Lord, ‘Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. The Lord shall send the rod of Thy strength [Wonder what that is?] out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies [emphasis mine]. Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power’…” (Psalm 110:1-3a.)

Unbelievably, in the face of clear scripture, there still is a debate over whether Christ is presently reigning on this earth, and if not, when? And if presently, how? Furthermore, did Jesus “bind” Satan or not? What do the Scriptures say – present or future?

In chapter 20: 1-2 of the symbolic Book of Revelation, we read: “I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years.” Immediately, most will be entertaining the concept of a futuristic millennium with these verses. That is not my subject matter at present. This is not an article about the millennium and its various schools of thought. However, if you believe it to be a literal thousand years in the future, you are still in eschatological infancy.

“And bound him”: Jesus came first to bind Satan then to destroy him. This binding was for the purpose of restricting his power to totally throw entire nations into complete idolatry. (I am not saying that this stops individual temptation.) History records nation after nation, civilization after civilization which existed under one form or another under Satan’s complete deception, i.e., Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece and the Romans. The boasting of Satan is clear during the temptation of Jesus. “And the devil, taking him up into a high mountain, showed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it” (Luke 4:5-6). However, the Scriptures and history reveal that Christ turned the tables. The great historian, Will Durant, observed:

“There is no greater drama in human record than the sight of a few Christians, scorned or oppressed by a succession of emperors, bearing all trials with a fierce tenacity, multiplying quietly, building order while their enemies generated chaos, fighting the sword with the word, brutality with hope, and at last defeating the strongest state that history has known. Caesar and Christ met in the arena, and Christ had won.

Jesus came and demonstrated his commission by signs and wonders, especially by displaying His authority over demons. He said, “But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you” (Matthew 12:28). Jesus proved His kingdom authority by casting out devils. However, the people reacted and accused him of doing these wonders by the authority of the Devil. Immediately Jesus responded, “…how can one enter into a strong man’s house and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? And then he will spoil his house” (Matthew 12:29). The message is clear, first “bind” then spoil the other’s dominion. This, Jesus did. Please note: The word “bind” here is the same word which appears in Revelation 20:2. Christ, in this present reign, has bound the devil. It’s just that simple. (Other verses which vindicate this understanding are: Lk. 10:17-19; Jn. 12:31; Col. 2:15; Heb. 2:14; Eph. 4:8 and 1 Jn. 3:8.)

God’s true Israel needs to awaken to her identity and to the realization that she has the power to do a better job. Our power has been drastically limited by Dispensationalism’s “other gospel.” This “other gospel” bemoans a concept that evil is becoming stronger. It lies and tries to convince us that the world is coming more and more under the control of the Devil. Wake up! Satan is bound, and we know it not! Christ has given us this great chain of circumstance. We can tighten the chain but do it not!

Now that we are brought into remembrance concerning the binding of Satan and the plundering of his strong house by Jesus, we turn to the concept of reigning. The “my Lord” of David’s Psalm is proclaimed by Scripture to have Zion ruling (reigning) in the midst of her enemies. Remember, “Thy people” are the rulers. Was this authority for only some blissful millennial age in the future, or is it present? I assert that we are reigning with Christ now in the midst of our enemies!

Paul reminded Timothy that “the word of God is not bound” (II Timothy 2:9). He went further and proclaimed a “faithful saying” which has major implications concerning our present reign with Christ. “For if we died with him, we shall also live with him; if we suffer, we shall also reign with him; if we deny him, he also will deny us; if we believe not, yet he abideth faithful; he cannot deny himself” (II Timothy 2: 11-13). Have we died; are we living; do we suffer, and are we reigning – presently? What sayeth the scriptures? Did Paul address these situations?

“Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore, we are buried with him by baptism into death…” (Romans 6:3-4a). Yes, we have died. Furthermore, Paul states that we are now living with Christ: “…Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4b). During this living with Christ, we “shall suffer persecution” (II Timothy 3:12b). Therefore, the reward of this death, suffering and life: “For if by one man’s offense death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:17).

J. Marcellus Kik, in his excellent book, raised the following question:

“An individual Christian may ask himself this question: What more could the popular [futuristic] conception of the millennium give me than I already possess? I have a Savior who is my Prophet, Priest and King. God the Father is my covenant God. I have the forgiveness of sin. I have the promise of eternal life . . . I have the Holy Spirit as my Teacher, Sanctifier and Comforter. I have security against my greatest enemies: Death, Hell and the Devil. I am standing on Mt. Zion and am a citizen of the Holy City. I belong to the commonwealth of Israel and am not a stranger from the covenants of promise. What more does a Christian desire? More material prosperity?  Is not the Lord wealth enough? Perhaps we desire less ‘tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?’ But are we not in all these things more than conquerors through Him who loves us?”      J. “And they sang a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for Thou was slain, and hast redeemed us to God by Thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God, kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth (Revelation 5:9-10).

There are two critical points to be addressed in these verses. First, the word “us” in verse 9 is correctly translated “them.” And in verse 10, “us” again is correctly interpreted as “them,” and “we” should be “they.” Why the reason for this adjustment? Simple, angelic beings have no need of redemption. Angelic beings will not reign upon this earth – we will. Let’s read this with the proper pronouns inserted: “For thou wast slain, and has redeemed them to God. . .and hast made them unto our God, king, and priests: and they shall reign . . .”  Second, the proclamation, “they shall reign upon the earth,” means just what it says. It is our commission to reign, even now, in the midst of our enemies! Christ purchased Israel not only to redeem them from sin but to equip them to fulfill God’s original dominion mandate for His people – ruling upon this earth. And regardless of the destruction still caused by the Devil, we who are in “heavenly places in Christ” rejoice at the self-evident continual growth of the Kingdom of God.     Remember:


Daniel 2:34-35

The following verses should help you grasp the present reality of Christ’s reigning through Zion and His growing Kingdom. It does not instantaneously appear in total power. Remember Isaiah 9:7, “Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end.” Furthermore, Daniel revealed that “there was given Him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him [some initially won’t]: His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that shall not be destroyed” (Daniel 7:14). Now, fundamental question: Has Christ been given this kingdom yet? YES HE HAS! Wash that Dispensationalism out of your minds with the “water of the word.” Luke 22:29 states, “I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father has appointed unto me.”

The definition of the word HISTORY is "an account of what has happened in the life and development of a people, country, institution, etc., usually with an analysis and explanation." Looking back through the events of time gives the informed observer insight into the all-important questions, such as the origin and gradual developments of any race, nation or people. Accurate historical accounts tells exactly what happened in past events, but it is the meaning and interpretation of those events where a difference of opinions arise. Because of these differing opinions, a number of interpretations have been set forth by historians in an effort to explain the purpose of past events.

If any historian or philosopher can satisfactorily explain to himself and his peers what transpired in the past; he therefore feels he can give a purposeful explanation of the present and the future. When examining each interpretation of history it is evident that each is based upon two major premises in the minds of their proponents: 

  1. Their concept of the person of Almighty God, and 
  2. Their belief concerning the purpose of man's existence. 

There are two major, yet opposing interpretations of history:


This interpretation promotes the concepts based upon the false theory of the "self-determination" of man. It rejects the idea of divine intervention and believes that man controls his own destiny. The following theories are aspects of the Secular World View: 

1. The Cyclical View sees all of history as a series of endless repeating cycles which have no ultimate purpose or goal. It teaches that there is no climax to history, therefore each cycle within itself is insignificant to the whole.

It views history as having no original plan from its beginning as designed by an all Sovereign Creator, therefore it reserves no place for an ultimate fulfilled purpose. This view has been widely accepted from antiquity by many eastern pagan religions of the ancient world based upon what they see in the repeating seasons of life-cycles of nature. This viewpoint has led to the naive acceptance of such beliefs as reincarnation, fatalism and utter hopelessness. 

2. The Marxist View is a philosophical scheme with all mankind as being involved in a "class struggle" between the bourgeoisie (capitalists, middle-class) and the proletariat (industrial working class) which will eventually result in a "utopia" or the "perfect socialist state." When formulating this philosophy, Karl Marx put all men into one of two categories: the "liberating class" as "saviors" or into the "oppressing class" as the adversaries of the perfect social order. This atheistic view polarizes society and has resulted in utter social chaos and revolution. Marx viewed man as nothing more than an economic materialistic animal whose sole purpose was to serve the all-powerful state through human labor. The result is utter hopelessness for mankind. 

3. The Existential View is often referred to as the open-ended view because it sees no real meaning or purpose to history or the future, but can only relate to the present. It was popularized in France after World War II, chiefly by Jean-Paul Sartre as a literary philosophic cult of nihilism and pessimism. It teaches that each individual exists as a separate entity in a purposeless universe and can only improve himself by opposing his hostile environment in exercising his free will. Nihilism is that philosophy which denies the existence of absolute truth and the foundational basis of knowledge. This was the basis of the hippie sub-culture known as "Moral Relativism." Its cry was "the right for absolute freedom of expression," "do your own thing," "do it if it feels good" or "if I don't think it's wrong, then it's all right." These concepts spawned a cultural revolution resulting in the breakdown of authority in our civilization. 

Within this theory, man is thought of only as a "social animal" without moral responsibility; so therefore, no accountability toward God his Creator, if such a Creator even exists. In other words, evil does not exist because no absolute moral laws exist. The existentialists embrace the beliefs that man is the only source of understanding our material universe, the social order and human nature itself. It has given rise to the anti-Biblical theory of "environmentalism verses human depravity" in teaching that man can only improve his moral status by changing the environment in which he lives with an attitude of total dependence on the state for social and economic support. Thus statism is born out of man's neglect of personal responsibility. If man is no longer responsible, he is therefore no longer accountable to a God of justice and His code of absolute moral laws, but is now accountable only to himself. Thus man has become his own "god." 


This interpretation accepts and teaches that God has a plan for mankind and is definitely involved and even intervenes in the affairs of human events. Accepting the Sovereign God as creator, He therefore is the Supreme Authority over all His creation.

 This is also known as the Providential View of history because it recognizes and accepts the intervening control of an All-Wise and Benevolent God both in the national and personal affairs of man. The origin of this view is found in the words of God Himself as recorded in the Christian Sacred Writings known as the Holy Bible. The Biblical concept of God is that He alone is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe and all that is therein. He alone has the right to exercise supreme authority over the affairs of men and to His laws all men have a responsibility to obey and someday will be held accountable for their actions. The supreme authority of God supersedes the authority of all men, institutions and civil governments. Therefore, the battle-cry of every Christian should be "to God alone belongs dominion." Being that Jesus Christ was the full incarnation of the Eternal God in flesh and now reigns victorious over death, hell and the grave, He alone deserves the rightful authority of dominion over all mankind. Therefore, to Him alone we affirm "The Crown Rights of King Jesus." 

The Historicist approach to prophecy is an admission of God's presiding control of history leading to a climactic conclusion with the fulfillment of God's plan as set forth in Scripture. It is one's understanding of God's plan in history that makes clear God's plan for the future.

PRACTICALLY every great discovery has had to travel the rocky road to popular recognition. The truth concerning Ten Tribed Israel is no exception to this well-nigh general rule.

While, ordinarily, that which has been patently revealed cannot he called a discovery, the hiding and bringing to light of what has been revealed can be so classed; especially when it remained hidden from the great body of Bible students and commentators through the centuries. For this reason the discovery of the facts summed up in what is known as "The Israel Truth" ranks among the highest of Biblical attainments in the last one hundred years.

Archeology, Biblical research and modern translations have done wonders in substantiating the validity and in the elucidation of the Word of God. But all of these are subservient to and corroborative of the great discovery that God is a God of order; that He actually devised a plan and program for the redemption of our planet; that, essential to that plan and program, he chose Ten Tribed Israel; and that they are extant on the earth today.

But like the prophets of old, this great truth has met with indifference, unbelief and opposition. Even the great evangelistic prophet Isaiah could say of his day: "Who hath believed our report?" Jesus knew that the same spirit would be manifested in our day and accordingly presented the Kingdom parable of the sower; in which He cites four kinds of hearers and warned the disciples that the only kind of hearers which could be depended upon to receive the Kingdom message were the "good and honest hearts." He told His disciples just how it would be in our day when He said:


''As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man."


Noah earnestly proclaimed the coming of the flood but the people of his day "knew not," did not care to know, until the flood came and swept them all away.

The Apostle Peter, also speaking of our day, says:


"Know this also that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking in their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the world."


The veteran Paul describes another type as "Ever learning, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth," and "As Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so also do these resist the truth." Some of them do it by outspoken opposition; some, by seeking to thwart its proclamation; some, by engaging in whisper campaigns of criticism.

Of the outspoken opposition, it can be said that they make excellent converts when their spiritual blindness clears away and they see the truth. As for those who devise devious methods and those who work in the dark, Jesus said:


"The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household? Fear them not therefore; for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known."


As for the scoffers, multitudes have come to scoff and remained to pray.

There is a great host of conscientious Christians who desire to know the truth but are afflicted with the spiritual blindness described by Paul in Romans 11:25:


"For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened unto Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in."


Regarding the Jews, Paul said:


"Their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the veil untaken away in the reading of the Old Testament, which veil is done away in Christ. But even unto this day when Moses is dead, the veil is upon their heart. Nevertheless when they shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away."


But the blindness in Ten Tribed Israel in reading Moses and the Old Testament, Paul says, was to continue "until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in." The "Times of the Gentiles" closed when General Allenby took Jerusalemin 1917. The "Fulness of the Gentiles" is manifest in the enormity of human perfidy now being displayed by the dictator nations as their cup of iniquity rapidly fills to the brim. - (Joel 3:13) The hour is close at hand, when Ten Tribed Israel will experience the great awakening foretold by the prophets. The blindness will pass away in the spiritual light which shall break upon their souls regarding their identity and their responsibilities as the chosen people of God. Multitudes in our own and many other lands are already awake and taking their places among the cohorts of the Almighty for the closing days of the age. In presenting the Israel Truth, it is therefore wise to heed the admonition of Paul to Timothy:


"The servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, in meekness, instructing those who opposed themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth."


In this spirit we now take up the study of a special type of evasion of the Israel Truth which is very frequently used by some of our fellow professed Christians. When the truth of Israel's identity is presented and cannot be gainsaid, they propose to pass it all up by saying "Suppose we are Israel. What of it? If I am saved, what difference does it make?" That reply comes so often that it is worthy of consideration, not only for the good of the cause, but for the good of the person who makes it.

The spirit in which the statement is made ranges from mere flippancy to sincere declaration.

With regard to the flippant, each case calls for a decision regarding what should be done. Solomon advises us: ''Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou be like unto him"; and then in about the same breath he says: ''Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit." Whether coming from the flippant or the conscientious Christian, the statement "Suppose we are Israel; what difference does it make?" assumes a serious aspect. Few, if any,of those who make it have considered for a moment its true import. We, therefore, would analyse the spirit which prompts the statement and the implications involved. At once it is evident that there exists a very shallow knowledge of the Bible and a careless disregard for its sanctity.There is here the manifestation of an egotism unbecoming a child of God. It smacks of the idea that God set in operation all that is revealed in the Scriptures solely to save the individual, and when that is, accomplished, what else is worthy of consideration? There is also present a form of selfishness. If the individual is saved; what difference does anything else make?

Aside from the mental state which the question in each instance, so eloquently portrays, there is an attitude of heart and soul, thus declared, which should be a matter of serious concern to the professed Christian, when weighed in the light of things spiritual and divine.

Taking for granted, as is here done, that we really are Israel as revealed in the Word of God, the question "What difference does it make?"!




It discloses the want of due regard for God and His Word. That soul needs to learn what Moses learned that day in the desert when the Voice from the bush told him to remove his shoes for the ground on which he stood was holy ground. That soul needs to learn the lesson taught by Uzziah's tragedy; realized by Isaiah, when in the temple, he saw the Lord high and lifted up; exemplified by John on the Isle of Patmos when he beheld the divine messenger and fell at His feet as dead; and proclaimed by the angels when they veil their faces and cry "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty!"

The spiritually minded ever remember that God is holy and His Word holy; that man lives by every word which proceedeth out of the mouth of God; and that the words which He speaks "they are Spirit and they are life," whether found in the Old Testament and the New Testament, whether proclaimed by the eminent divine or the humble scrub woman. No one can wave aside the acknowledged truth of God with "What difference does it make?" without irreverence.




"Suppose we are Israel; What difference does it make?" There is here, plainly implied, the fact that the speaker does not intend to accept or live by it anyway. This assumes the right of the individual to look the Word of God over, select what suits his whim or fancy and discard the balance. But Paul made it very plain to Timothy that


''All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."


The Bible, as given by God is a complete whole. It stands or falls in one piece. It declares the whole counsel of God and it required nothing short of the whole book to declare it. Otherwise, much of it would not have been written. It must be accepted in its entirety.

It is not, therefore, within the province of man to go through the book, sorting and picking this and that, which he proposes to accept and say with regard to the remainder "What difference does it make", To do so is the height of presumption.




"What difference does it make?" bespeaks an attenuated idea of the Scriptures and the great purpose of God in furnishing them to mankind; or, a closed mind; or, a spiritual indolence which does not want to be disturbed.

However, in the fact that we are Israel, there is opened up a vast field of Biblical knowledge upon which many eminent scholars have bestowed years of careful study and painstaking research. There is presented, for our enlightenment, a great volume of information, involving the origin and history of the various races of the earth, the divine plan for the ages, the division of the world into the Israel and Gentile nations, the marvelous covenants made by God, the exceeding broad sweep of the atonement, the place allotted the Church in God's world program, the meaning and movement of the present world crisis, who constitute the Kingdom of God on earth, what it will be when it comes, Israel's work for the new age, the new order under the reign of Christ and the ultimate restitution of all things which were lost in Eden.

This is but the briefest outline of the great educational field that lies before the student of Israel Truth, and it certainly is no compliment to ones intelligence to flip it aside with "What difference does it make?"

It made a great difference to the scholars who dug deep into the Bible and human history to bring forth the golden nuggets of truth concerning the people God chose for His name. It makes the difference of being informed or ignorant of God's purposes, the place He gave His elect people in His program and His march down the centuries toward fulfillment. It makes the difference of merely being saved by the skin of one's teeth, as Job put it, and being an intelligent student of the Bible and world events, thus being "thoroughly furnished unto all good works" in our day and generation.

What a difference exists between the mental and spiritual appetite of the evader of truth and that of the prophet Jeremiah when he said:


"Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and the rejoicing of mine heart, for I am called by thy name, 0 Lord God of Hosts!"





God, in His wisdom, chose Israel to be used by Him in His great plan for the transformation of a lost world. He also wrote a large portion of the Bible to tell us about Israel's part in that plan. Can we not see that to select only a portion of the Book, and that only the portion which pertains to one's individual salvation, is to simply tell God that He was silly in furnishing any more? Can we not see that it sets up the finite in judgment of the Infinite? It practically declares Him to be foolish in doing any more or revealing any more than would get us saved eternally.




Allowing ample space in the Bible for the presentation of the Gospel to the individual, God wrote about five sevenths of the Bible as His message to the nations. An important integral part, related to almost every phase of this revelation, is the great nation Israel, promised by God to Abraham. Five sevenths is a lot of Bible to scrap, brother. The hypercritical at their worst do not have the temerity to attempt any more; and they are busy all of the time knifing the Scriptures, cutting out and deleting. One of their modern achievements is called "The Polychrome Bible," in which they have made the book an infidel aurora borealis by printing the words they criticise in the various colors of the rainbow.

But the "What difference does it make?" folks throw away five-sevenths of the Bible in one lump. The infidel critics do their work piecemeal, while these believer critics do theirs wholesale. They virtually say: 'This will I accept, enjoy and live; but God's message to the nations -'What difference does it make?'" That statement - literally -




Earnest Bible students have found the Israel Truth to be the key which opens up the Bible from the first promise made at the Fall, until Jesus delivers up the finished Kingdom unto God.

It may be likened to a spiritual thread which runs through almost every chapter of Bible history, every doctrine, symbol, type, promise, covenant and act of God: The thread which, when found, makes possible the unraveling of most of the mysteries of the Word. This is the reason that everyone who has conscientiously sought and found the Israel Truth has declared the Bible to be a "new book;" consistent, harmonious, symmetrical, progressive and most satisfying to mind and soul.

Without the Israel Truth, as is evidenced in the commentaries and "helps," the Bible becomes the field of conjectures, an array of wonderful, for the most part, disconnected stories; and a grab-bag of beautiful texts without much of any reference to the context, or where the truth of the text fits in the Divine scheme of things. We recently met a Southern mountaineer who in his droll manner said that which every Bible student should note: "A text, without the context, is just a pretext."

Take the whole Gospel of individual salvation wherever presented in the Word of God, and careful study will almost always disclose the fact that the Israel Truth is the context that makes it plain and sets it in its proper spiritual perspective. The story of the birth of Jesus is a sample of how the Israel Truth is woven into the warp and woof of His life as He fulfilled prophecies and types which had long before been established and proclaimed in Israel. It can therefore be positively stated that no man can understand even Jesus, His mission and His message, without the Israel key which opens up the treasures of His marvelous life and teaching.




If we are Israel, then God has done a stupendous thing. He has kept faith with Abraham. Centuries ago He made an unconditional, irrevocable, covenant with Abraham to increase and preserve his posterity throughout all generations. And now, here we are, many nations of Israel, right here on the planet after almost 4,000 years.

What kind or grade of Christianity is it that can see in that nothing to excite gratitude, joy and praise for a covenant keeping God? The Sweet Singer of Israel wrote some of his most wonderful songs in appreciation of that faithfulness. In the metrical version of Psalm 89:1, he sings:

"The loving kindness of the Lord

Forever I will sing;

Thy faithfulness to every age

My mouth in song will bring."

And in the same version of Psalm 105:8, we find:

"He keeps in mind his covenant

That it may ever stand,

And to a thousands ages He

His promise doth command.

"His covenant with Abram made,

He unto Isaac swore,

Confirmed the same to Israel,

A bond for evermore."

The writers of the four Gospels constantly call attention to God's faithfulness to Abraham. The Apostles, every one of them, gloried in it; - but "What difference does it make?"




The man who has the blessing of personal salvation is the recipient of a marvelous gift of God in Christ Jesus. He receives what may be called his birthright; by which he becomes heir of God and joint heir with Jesus Christ; one of those to whom God says:


"All are yours, and ye are Christ's, and Christ is God's."


Bound up in the bundle of life with God and Jesus Christ, there is no spiritual blessing for time or eternity that is not included in the rights of his rebirth - the birthright of grace. Endless ages will never conclude our praise of God for that blessing. But this does not for a moment warrant the despising and rejecting of the other God given birthright - the birthright of race; which is always done when a man says: "Suppose we are Israel; What difference does it make?"

It made quite a difference to Esau who despised his birthright of race. Afterward he found no place for repentance, although he sought it with tears. The die was cast, his descendants became the Turks of today.

The birthright of race made quite a difference to Ishmael, the son of the bond woman, Hagar. His descendants are the Arabs.

The birthright of race also made quite a difference to the sons of Keturah, whose descendants are the Brahmins of India.

"Suppose we are Israel," then we are the lineal descendants of Abraham through Sarah, Isaac and Jacob. There is a world of difference in the blessings of race, country, enlightenment and opportunity bestowed upon the descendants of these and that which was bestowed upon the Brahmins, the Arabs, and the Turks.

While there is no place here for race pride, there is a large place for grateful joy in the arbitrary goodness of God, and for appreciation of the gifts bestowed by God upon us as a race. The conscientious Christian is certainly among those who follow after righteousness and who seek the Lord. Isaiah 51:1, 2 was written for him. In that Scripture, God directs him to take two looks of appreciation, joy, thanksgiving and encouragement in birthright of race. Thus it reads:


"Hearken to me, (God is speaking, not an Israel preacher) ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the Lord: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged. Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah, that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him."


"Suppose we are Israel;" then we are the recipients of the only God ordained royal blood on this planet through Abraham, the divinely appointed father of kings, and through Sarah, the Princess, mother of Kings - (Genesis 17:6, 16) And, if we will receive it, that royalty accounts for many of the racial characteristics of the Israel nations, which stand out so clearly today in contrast to the Gentile dictator nations.

"Suppose we are Israel," then we participate in the great covenant made by God with Abraham, so comprehensive that it included all the covenants which followed it, both temporal and spiritual. In fact, if we be Israel, then that covenant of God was made directly with us; for God definitely stipulates:

"I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee." - (Genesis 17:7)

Note that the "seed" of Abraham in this promise is plural.

Can it be possible that it means nothing to the believer to be chosen of God as an heir of that covenant, which, in all of its ramifications, God unfolds through the remainder of the Scriptures? Is it a light thing to be the heir of the grand legacy made certain to the Israel people through God's oath to Abraham? Well, as the present world conditions come toward their conclusion, there will be a mighty multitude who will rejoice that they live under the provisions of that gracious covenant.

"Suppose we are Israel," then we are members of the Kingdom of God on earth. He established that Kingdom at Sinai. Constituting that Kingdom was twelve-tribed Israel. Matthew 21:43 tells us plainly that He took the Kingdom from the Jews and turned it over to a "nation" (Greek, "Ethnos" which never could mean church). That nation was to bring forth the fruits of the Kingdom. Those fruits are both political and religious.

The Israel nations, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, the British Commonwealth and the United States of America are the only nations on earth which have made the law of God, the Ten Commandments, the common law of the land; the only nations which have established their form of government after the model given at Sinai with its constitution, laws, statutes and judgments. Does the fact that a man is saved eternally, preclude the possibility of his appreciating the civil blessings which he enjoys under the Abrahamic covenant in these Israel countries? A short sojourn in the Gentile lands of the dictators would show the difference and be quite convincing.

The other fruits of the Kingdom of God on earth which were to be brought forth by the Israel nation were religious. True to Christ's assignment, the Israel nations, lead the world in evangelistic work, home and foreign missions, church extension to the ends of the earth, Bible translation, publication and distribution. The United States and the British Commonwealth hold the record for fully ninety per cent of this work. Is it possible that all of the civil and religious freedoms and blessings vouchsafed by a covenant keeping God to these countries have never impinged themselves upon the heart and soul of a man because, by the grace of God, he was saved? What must the God of Abraham think when such a man flouts the whole of it and says "Suppose we are Israel what difference does it make?" Well, brother, it is not good Bible Christianity to hug the covenant of grace so close to our heart that we have no room for God's covenant of race. That sort of thing,




The man who has his eyes on the skies in contemplation of the glories, honors and emoluments which God will confer in the life to come, cannot serve God or his own highest spiritual welfare by spurning the honors which God has bestowed upon him, here on earth, as one of his Israel people.

It does not require great research to find a host of texts in which God reveals the exalted position given to his chosen race. A few, however, should suffice:

  • Isaiah 43:1,4. "But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and He that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name, thou art mine..... Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable and I have loved thee"
  • I Kings 8:53. "Thou didst separate them from among all the people of the earth, to be thine inheritance."
  • Psalm 135:4."For the Lord hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure."
  • Deuteronomy 7:6 "For thou art an holy people (set apart for God's use) unto the Lord thy God: the Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth."
  • Deuteronomy 14:2 "The Lord hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto Himself above all the nations that are upon the earth."


God has certainly lavished the honors and blessings upon Israel and, in the few texts cited, there is enough to give the Israel Christian abundant reason for joy and thanksgiving. Note the honors conferred: He chose them, redeemed them, claimed them for his own, separated them, calls them precious, his peculiar treasure, his special people, his inheritance above all the peoples of the earth.

Think of any believer reading all of that and then turning upon his heel and saying "Suppose we are Israel: What difference does it make?" Well, let us suppose again. Suppose the king of a great empire assembled his armies on the plain, thousands upon thousands of them, and, as they stood at attention, he should call out of the ranks one man and announce that he had chosen him to be his intimate aide de camp; and, in the presence of the vast multitude, he should pin upon his breast the badge which signified the honors, titles and emoluments conferred. Suppose that young man responded to all of this by simply taking the medal and nonchalantly flicking it into the air. We can easily imagine the consternation it would cause in the king and in the ranks. Yet this is the treatment God receives from those who say: "Suppose we are Israel: What difference does it make?"




When we go through the Scriptures, and find the blessings promised by God to Israel, it is most remarkable that, in very many instances, the blessings foretold are for the last days, the very hour in which we are now living. For us, upon whom Paul says, the ends of the age have come.

The blessings pronounced upon Abraham were to culminate in the last days. The blessings pronounced by Jacob upon his sons were for the last days. The farewell blessings proclaimed by Moses upon twelve-tribed Israel were to befall them in their latter end, the last days. It is very evident that God was quite anxious that His Israel people should have a clear vision of all that was to come to pass in these trying times, and consequently, sent prophet after prophet, telling of world conditions which we would experience in our day.

But right along with the cataclysmic upheavals foretold, there is always a word of cheer, consolation and encouragement to His people Israel. Though they may be chastened sore, yet, he says, "I will not make a full end of thee." God will not forget His covenant to Abraham, though the nations rage, the earth quake and the seas roar.

Therefore, it is the universal testimony of all who have sincerely studied the Israel truth and accepted it, that there has come upon their minds and hearts, like a divine benediction, a peace, a calm, a comfort and an encouragement in the present world crisis, such as they had never known before.

To collate all of the statements God made to Israel for the last days, would furnish a soul fortification against all that is transpiring, which few Christians know anything about. In the very day when men's hearts are failing them for fear, and they are leaping from windows, shooting themselves or passing out by monoxide gas; God, in His mercy, intended that we should have the benefits of knowing what He is doing in the world, what the world events actually mean, how he is going to make it all work out to the good of His people Israel, and through all that is happening bring in the Kingdom of God on earth.

But all of this falls upon listless ears to the man who says "What difference does it make?"




The high call of God is not only to accept Christ and to build a Christ like character, but to gain a broad, genuine, comprehensive Biblical knowledge, in order to be thoroughly furnished unto every good work. It is not simply to preach the Gospel in obedience to the Mark 16: 15 commission; but also in obedience to the Luke 9: 2 commission- "Preach the Kingdom of God."

The Kingdom of God on earth, lost in Eden and to be restored by Christ, is the one theme of the Bible. It was the one theme of all that Jesus preached. It has a message for the individual. Matthew 6: 31, 33 is also the great message of God to the debauched, broken, floundering nations of the world today.

The laws of that Kingdom of God established at Sinai contain the only answer to the problems which now confront the nations, whether those problems be political, economic or social. In fact, the Gospel of the Kingdom sweeps the whole field of human relationships, the family, the church, the business world, the social world, the state, the nation, and international relationships. There is no phase of human life that it does not cover and command; for "His Kingdom ruleth over all."

After years of acquaintance with the whole field of Gospel preaching, we have no hesitancy in saying that the Israel Truth comprehends the Gospel in its fullness. The Israel movement takes the Bible as it finds it, with no denominational tenets to promote, and preaches what it finds; without fear or favor. It is enlisted to declare the whole counsel of God whether men will hear or forbear; the Gospel of Christ in its fullness; the Old Testament Gospel, the New Testament Gospel, the Gospel of Sinai, the Gospel of the Prophets and the Gospel of the Apostles; the Gospel for the individual with salvation for body and mind as well as soul; and the great neglected Gospel, the Gospel of the Kingdom of God on earth.

God chose the Israel people as His servant race and appointed them His witnesses to set up the ensign of divine truth to the nations of the world. If there ever was an hour when such a work was needed, it is now, as the nations wade in their welter of woe.

That Christocracy which God set up at Sinai with its constitution, law, statutes and judgments is the sunrise for which the world is now waiting. Brother, Sister, can you conscientiously face your Master and say: "I'm saved. Suppose we are Israel; what of it? What difference does it make?" To use a street term; "Come out of it." The world is languishing in its national sins as well as its individual sins. The great Divine climax of the ages is about to break upon the nations. God, in His mercy, has given the great Gospel of the Kingdom of God on earth, not merely to be held but to be heralded in these closing hours of a dying age. Now is the time to earn your "Well done, thou good and faithful servant," promised in that great Kingdom parable.




Dr. James S. McGaw, the author of this tract, was a Scots Covenanter. He was a life-long minister in The Reformed Presbyterian Church. For seventeen years he represented the National Reform Association, which took him on speaking engagements into 46 states. It was his interest in Christian civil government which laid the foundation for a ready acceptance of the national message of the Bible.

His conversion to this great truth was occasioned by a Jew who owned a haberdashery store in a small mid-western town. Dr. McGaw stepped into the store to make a purchase on his way to the depot. Attracted to Dr. McGaw by his mannerism, the Jew guessed he was a minister, which resulted in a friendly conversation on religion. Becoming interested, the proprietor called his son from a back room of the store to take charge while he took the doctor to the train.

Indebted to the Jewish merchant for his graciousness, Dr. McGaw took this opportunity to speak to the man concerning the claims of Jesus Christ. One approach after another failed. So finally in a final desperate attempt to win the man before the train arrived, Dr. McGaw said, "The Jews are God's chosen people, and Jesus was a Jew, therefore you ought to accept Him as your own personal Saviour."

''Ah, ah," said the Jew, "this is where you are mistaken."

Taken back by this retort the doctor said, "Well if the Jews are not the chosen people, I'd like to know who are." The Jew answered, "If you really want to know who the chosen people are, read Judah's Sceptre and Joseph's Birthright, by Bishop Allen." Dr. McGaw gulped for breath at this sudden turn of events, which blasted all his theological training. So he determined to get the book and read it. It was almost a year before he was able to secure a copy. Then in the quietness of his room, the first night with the book and his Greek and Hebrew text beside him, he became so intrigued with its message that he could not lay it down until he was suddenly confronted with the breaking rays of the morning sunrise. As the sun arose he finished the book with the light of a new truth in his soul.

Subsequent studies made him a master of the NATIONAL MESSAGE OF THE BIBLE, and one of the strongest speakers on the American platform, always speaking with authority in his discussions. His two studies, "Outline Studies in the Covenants of the Bible,"and "The State Religion of Israel, or Symbolism of the Old Testament Ritual,"have never been equated in their comprehensiveness and lucidity. His own testimony as to the value of this truth is stated in the following words:

"The revelations brought to me through the study of the 'Israel Truth' have definitely established my faith in the Bible as the inspired Word of God and proved to my complete satisfaction that God is a God of order, manifested in a mighty plan and program unfolded in the eight covenants, the prophets and the Gospels, and fulfilled in and through the special creation of His chosen people Israel. With this vision, the sixty-six books of the Bible are seen to be a complete disclosure of God's love, and a marvelous unit, symmetrical, coordinated, harmonious and progressive from Genesis to Revelation.

"I thank the 'Israel truth' for making the Bible a new book to me and for a fully rounded Gospel of salvation for the individual and redemption of the nation to be preached in these last days of a dying age, linked with a lively realization of the coming Kingdom of God on earth. I shall never cease to be grateful to the Jewish friend who suggested that I read Judah's Sceptre and Joseph's Birthright.

William Tyndale was the Captain of the Army of Reformers, and was their spiritual leader. Tyndale holds the distinction of being the first man to ever print the New Testament in the English language. Tyndale was a true scholar and a genius, so fluent in eight languages that it was said one would think any one of them to be his native tongue. He is frequently referred to as the “Architect of the English Language”, (even more so than William Shakespeare) as so many of the phrases Tyndale coined are still in our language today.

William Tyndale (1494-1536) Biblical translator and martyr; born most probably at North Nibley (15 miles south-west of Gloucester), England, in 1494; died at Vilvoorden (6 miles north-east of Brussels), Belgium, Oct. 6, 1536. Tyndale was descended from an ancient Northumbrian family, went to school at Oxford, and afterward to Magdalen Hall and Cambridge.

William Tyndale Overview

Tyndale was a theologian and scholar who translated the Bible into an early form of Modern English. He was the first person to take advantage of Gutenberg’s movable-type press for the purpose of printing the scriptures in the English language. Besides translating the Bible, Tyndale also held and published views which were considered heretical, first by the Catholic Church, and later by the Church of England which was established by Henry VIII. His Bible translation also included notes and commentary promoting these views. Tyndale's translation was banned by the authorities, and Tyndale himself was burned at the stake in 1536, at the instigation of agents of Henry VIII and the Anglican Church.

The Early Years of William Tyndale

Tyndale enrolled at Oxford in 1505, and grew up at the University. He received his Master’s Degree in 1515 at the age of twenty-one! He proved to be a gifted linguist. One of Tyndale’s associates commented that Tyndale was “so skilled in eight languages – Hebrew, Greek, Latin, Spanish, French, Italian, English, and German, that whichever he speaks, you might think it his native tongue!” This gift undoubtedly aided him in his successful evasion of the authorities during his years of exile from England.

Early Controversy Surrounding Tyndale

Around 1520, William Tyndale became a tutor in the family of Sir John Walsh, at Little Sodbury in Gloucestershire. Having become attached to the doctrines of the Reformation, and devoted himself to the study of the Scriptures, the open avowal of his sentiments in the house of Walsh, his disputes with Roman Catholic dignitaries there, and especially his preaching, excited much opposition, and led to his removal to London (about Oct., 1523), where he began to preach, and made many friends among the laity, but none among church leaders.

A clergyman hopelessly entrenched in Roman Catholic dogma once taunted Tyndale with the statement, “We are better to be without God’s laws than the Pope’s”. Tyndale was infuriated by such Roman Catholic heresies, and he replied, “I defy the Pope and all his laws. If God spare my life ere many years, I will cause the boy that drives the plow to know more of the scriptures than you!

He was hospitably entertained at the house of Sir Humphrey Monmouth, and also financially aided by him and others in the accomplishment of his purpose to translate the Scriptures into the commonly spoken English of the day. Unable to do so in England, he set out for the continent (about May, 1524), and appears to have visited Hamburg and Wittenberg. The place where he translated the New Testament, is thought to have been Wittenberg, under the aid of Martin Luther. The printing of this English New Testament in quarto was begun at Cologne in the summer of 1525, and completed at Worms, and that there was likewise printed an octavo edition, both before the end of that year. William Tyndale’s Biblical translations appeared in the following order: New Testament, 1525-26; Pentateuch, 1530; Jonah, 1531.

His literary activity during that interval was extraordinary. When he left England, his knowledge of Hebrew, if he had any, was of the most rudimentary nature; and yet he mastered that difficult tongue so as to produce from the original an admirable translation of the entire Pentateuch, the Books of Joshua, Judges, Ruth, First and Second Samuel, First and Second Kings, First Chronicles, contained in Matthew's Bible of 1537, and of the Book of Jonah, so excellent, indeed, that his work is not only the basis of those portions of the Authorized King James Version of 1611, but constitutes nine-tenths of that translation, and very largely that of the English Revised Version of 1885.

In addition to these he produced the following works. His first original composition, A Pathway into the Holy Scripture, is really a reprint, slightly altered, of his Prologue to the quarto edition of his New Testament, and had appeared in separate form before 1532; The Parable of the Wicked Mammon (1527); and The Obedience of a Christian Man (1527-28). These several works drew out in 1529 Sir Thomas More's Dialogue, etc. In 1530 appeared Tyndale's Practyse of Prelates, and in 1531 his Answer to the Dialogue, his Exposition of the First Epistle of St. John, and the famous Prologue to Jonah; in 1532, An Exposition upon the V. VI. VII. Chapters of Matthew; and in 1536, A Brief Declaration of the Sacraments, etc., which seems to be a posthumous publication. Joshua-Second Chronicles also was published after his death.

All these works were written during those mysterious years, in places of concealment so secure and well chosen, that neither the ecclesiastical nor diplomatic emissaries of Wolsey and Henry VIII., charged to track, hunt down, and seize the fugitive, were able to reach them, and they are even yet unknown. Under the idea that the progress of the Reformation in England rendered it safe for him to leave his concealment, he settled at Antwerp in 1534, and combined the work of an evangelist with that of a translator of the Bible.

Tyndale was betrayed by a friend, Philips, the agent either of Henry or of English ecclesiastics, or possibly of both. Tyndale was arrested and imprisoned in the castle of Vilvoorden for over 500 days of horrible conditions. He was tried for heresy and treason in a ridiculously unfair trial, and convicted. Tyndale was then strangled and burnt at the stake in the prison yard, Oct. 6, 1536. His last words were, "Lord, open the king of England's eyes." This prayer was answered three years later, in the publication of King Henry VIII’s 1539 English “Great Bible”.

Tyndale's place in history has not yet been sufficiently recognized as a translator of the Scriptures, as an apostle of liberty, and as a chief promoter of the Reformation in England. In all these respects his influence has been singularly under-valued. The sweeping statement found in almost all histories, that Tyndale translated from the Vulgate and Luther, is most damaging to the reputation of the writers who make it; for, as a matter of fact, it is contrary to truth, since his translations are made directly from the originals, with the aid of the Erasmus 1516 Greek-Latin New Testament, and the best available Hebrew texts. The Prolegomena in Mombert's William Tyndale's Five Books of Moses show conclusively that Tyndale's Pentateuch is a translation of the Hebrew original.

After thirty years of work, the late Clarence Larkin (1850 – 1924, an American Baptist Pastor) published a work which many in the Futurist School of eschatology refer to as “the dispensationalists’ second bible” and “a standard authority on dispensationalism.” The book is entitled Dispensational  Truth. It is touted by some as the greatest book on bible prophecy in the world! It contains over 115 charts, maps and woodcuts. These are referenced today by a myriad of prophecy teachers. But, I wonder how many of these so-called teachers have read Larkin’s admission of cartooning Francisco Ribera’s catholic counter-reformation prophetic interpretation.

This article is not an explanation of the errors of dispensationalism. Space does not allow for a proper refutation of the Futurist School or a defense of the Protestant Historical School (Historicism). It will simply be, for the most part, the words of Larkin himself. These are found on page 5 of his book, Forty-Sixth Printing. Some of the other printings have it on page 4.

“The glory of a good thing is that it flows to others” Martin Luther. Conversely, the horror of a bad thing is that it not only flows but, at times, floods and drowns. How many, today, are drowning in the tide of dispensational teachings? The book Dispensational Truth furthered the rushing current of futuristic eschatology - Rome’s poisonous waters!

Now, let us read Larkin’s affirmation of the Jesuit origins of Preterism and Futurism. He also identifies the “secret of the martyr heroism,” known as Historicism.

I have added bold emphasis where I felt appropriate.


    The “Preterist School” originated with the Jesuit Alcazar. His view was first put forth as a complete scheme in his work on the Apocalypse, published in A.D.1614. It limits the scope of the apocalypse to the events of the Apostle John’s life, and affirms that the whole prophecy was fulfilled in the destruction of Jerusalem by Titus and the subsequent fall of the persecuting Roman Empire, thus making the Emperor Nero the “Antichrist.” The purpose of the scheme was transparent, it was to relieve the Papal Church from the stigma of being called the “Harlot Church” and the Pope from being called the Antichrist…”

    The “Historical School”. . . interprets the Apocalypse as a series of prophecies predicting the events that were to happen in the world and in the Church from John’s day to the end of time. The advocates of the School interpret the symbols of the Book of Revelation as referring to certain historical events that have and are happening in the world. They claim that “Antichrist” is a “System” rather than a “Person,” and is represented by the Harlot Church of Rome. They interpret the “Time Element” in the Book on the “Year Day Scale.” This school has had some very able and ingenious advocates. This view, like the preceding was unknown to the early church. It appeared about the middle of the Twelfth Century, and was systematized in the beginning of the Third Century by the Abbot Joachim. Subsequently it was adopted and applied to the Pope by the forerunners and leaders of the Reformation, and may be said to have reached its zenith in Mr. Elliott’s “Horae Apocalypticae.” It is frequently called the Protestant interpretation because it regards Popery as exhausting all that has been predicted of the Antichristian power. It was a powerful and formidable weapon in the hands of the leaders of the Reformation, and the conviction of its truthfulness nerved them to “love not their lives unto the death.” It was the secret of the martyr heroism of the Sixteenth Century.

    The “Futurist School” interprets the language of the Apocalypse “literally,” except such symbols as are named as such and hold that the whole of the Book, from the end of the third chapter, is yet “future” and unfulfilled, and that the greater part of the Book, from the beginning of chapter six to the end of chapter nineteen, describes what shall come to pass during the last week of “Daniel’s Seventy Weeks.” . . . In its present form it may be said to have originated at the end of the Sixteenth Century, with the Jesuit Ribera, who actuated by the same motive as the Jesuit Alcazar, sought to rid the Papacy of the stigma of being called the “Antichrist,” and so referred the prophecies of the Apocalypse to the distant future. This view was accepted by the Roman Catholic Church and was for a long time confined to it, but, strange to say, it has wonderfully revived since the beginning of the Nineteenth Century, and among Protestants. . . ., The “Futurist” interpretation of scripture is the one employed in this book.

Clarence Larkin

Well, there you have it. Larkin is ecstatic because the rejected prophetic counter-scheme manipulations of the Jesuit Ribera have been “wonderfully revived.”

I have written a book entitled Seventy Weeks, The Historical Alternative. In this book, I address, in modest detail, much of the information presented by Larkin. If you want to know more about these schools of thought, I encourage you to read it. In summation, it is the story of the only Messianic Divine time-measure recorded in Holy Writ – Daniel’s Seventy Weeks. The truth of its interpretation begins with a journey back to the Protestant Reformation. It was during this period of Church history that this great prophecy’s commonly understood fulfillment was hermeneutically attacked and distorted. The confusing results of this theological assault are with us to this day. Clarence Larkin’s book Dispensational Truth is a classic example. He teaches that a seven-year tribulation period is yet to come.

What was this doctrinal assault’s ultimate purpose? Who first taught it? Larkin already told you – Ribera!

Why was this new interpretation of Daniel Chapter Nine rejected by scholastic Protestant clergy for centuries? Who were its authors trying to protect? Again, Larkin told you – the Papacy and its identified label - “Antichrist.”

In my book, you’ll have these and many more questions answered. After reading, you will never again, in good conscience, be able to teach the charts of Larkin.

In an attempt to provide a wide range of opinions and applications within the bounds of the Historicist interpretation of Bible prophecy, we have utilized the research and writings of a variety of scholars and historians. Being that the material found on this website has been written over a period of several hundred years, there will naturally be a difference of opinions and interpretations on various prophecies. This is due to the experience and knowledge along with the political and religious conditions which existed during the life time of each respective writer. For example; the perspective of John Wycliffe of the 14th century in England as opposed to the perspective of a 21st century writer in North America may somewhat differ on the same prophecy due to their respective vantage points of time, location and development of historical events.

These differences by no means invalidate the truthfulness of the Historicist approach to the all-important subject of Bible prophecy. Even though some teachers and writers may differ on some major beliefs such as the rapture, the nature of the Second Coming of Christ, the identification of Israel, or the modern Zionist state of Israeli, each writer sets forth a traditional Protestant view of Bible prophecy that has been unfolding in fulfillment throughout time extending from the Apostolic age until our present age.
